Karluk Turks were a Turkic people who lived in Central Asia from the 7th to the 10th century. They were one of the earliest Turkic tribes to convert to Islam and played an important role in the spread of Islamic culture in Central Asia.
The Karluk Turks were known for their horsemanship and were skilled warriors who fought alongside the Arabs in the Arab-Byzantine Wars. They were also successful traders who established trade routes between China and the Middle East.
In the 10th century, the Karluk Turks were absorbed into the expanding Khitan Empire and lost their distinct identity as a separate tribe. However, their influence on Central Asian culture and history is still felt today, particularly in the music and folklore of the region.
